I'm in Canada so everything is longer for us. We really need an option here.

Lulu prints and ships in CA. Have you tried that?

No, I'll look into them. Thank you for always educating us.

Great article, Darcy!

Do you know if either of these companies functions as the Metchant of Record and handles tax compliance (worldwide, not just the US).

That would be the game changer for me.

Yes! That's what they are doing with these buttons. They are the merchant of record and take care of taxes. Lulu says, "Checkout is powered by Stripe and managed by Lulu, meaning you will not have to worry about taxes or shipping. When a book is sold, Lulu handles printing and shipping, sending you revenue via your Stripe account." https://www.lulu.com/sell/sell-on-your-site/buy-button.

In Ingram's example (https://www.ingramspark.com/sell-my-book), they are collecting sales tax.

They aren't saying specifically, "We are the Merchant of Record." But they are acting like it. That's why both of these are exciting options!

Any thoughts on Bookvault as they do this as well.

When I've tried Bookvault, they don't print picture books in the US. The shipping from the UK was longer than I liked. All the PODs take time to ship, but BV's was longer than the others since they imported the picture books. You might look at it for novels that would be printed in the US and make similar comparisons on fees, international sales, customer information, and printing options.
