Writing children’s books in a series is a winning strategy for indie authors. Each time you publish a book, it’s a new product. That means the marketing starts from scratch as your audience tries to figure out what sort of book you’re releasing. But when you publish series, the audience already knows “sorta” what to expect. The series either continues an story or an idea and the reader expectation is more easily satisfied.

Lindsey H. asked, “I would love to hear how you go about designing a book series…It’s important they all have visual cohesion, but where do you start?”

Today’s discussion, for paid subscribers, will talk about the elements of a book cover and how you might start to brand a series of covers.
