Hi, how do you get printed certificates? We've submitted to the LOC website and get an email confirmation, but no printed certificates. Thanks for the advice
I just read the email from them. It was during covid, when they stopped printing. Do you still recommend requesting a printed certificate (if the option exists)? BTW I appreciate all you do and your amazing and generous contributions for indie authors. Wishing you all the best on 2026!!
This post was so helpful. Great advice...fix it until it's right! Thanks, Darcy!
Thank you for this reminder/kick in the pants, Darcy, and for showing what it means to be self-published.
Kicking myself into gear!
Thanks, Darcy. Great post.

Really? I always get printed certificates. Do you go directly to copyright.gov? When you do that the form has a place to insert the mailing address.
Are you doing print books or ebooks only? Maybe that matters?

The most important thing is to register. I LIKE getting the certificates and putting them into a notebook. But it's not necessary. Just up to you.
