Hi Darcy! I hope you're well! I've met the Brads of Vellum a few times at events and seen examples of the forced edges and also discussed with BV. I've decided they're not for me; they looked lovely but I recall that there is room for error with POD slippage although that can be unlucky and I don't recall the detail. I'd think I'd also prefer to keep the page clean / distraction-free (and not have to worry about the forced edge competing with chapter artwork pages etc if something goes wrong there). On balance, I think I would rather pay for the sprayed edges if I were going to do it, albeit I know that's a higher cost. I'm just spec'ing up a special edition atm (long overdue!) and will be using BV. Taking my time :) So many wonderful options to choose from! Also taking my time on deciding whether or not to run a Kickstarter! In awe of your energy :) Karen

Thanks for weighing in. I’m undecided. BV’s shipping to the US works, but it’s cumbersome. I wish they had a US plant that would work.
But I like the idea of a deluxe edition for gifts and such.
