Licensing Expo in Vegas
In my year long exploration of adjacent industries, I went in May to the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. This is where licensing deals of all sorts get made. Movie studios, toy companies, lifestyle companies, and more attend and display. It’s a working conference with lots of deals made during the show.
When you register, you have access to the list of attendees and can request a meeting. This is a necessary step because many of the booths are closed to walk-through traffic, only available when you have an appointment. I didn’t know this, so I tried to walk into the Paramount booth to see this T-Rex lego creation. Security guards made sure I kept walking!
