The final industry that also works to entertain and educate kids is the toy market. The Women in Toys organization, which I joined at the urging of my lawyer, holds a Wal-Mart WIT Empowerment Day in conjunction with the to market. The Market opened on a Tuesday, so the Empowerment Day took place on Monday.

Empowerment Day is set up to allow women creators an opportunity to pitch ideas to industry leaders. Mentors were available to answer questions on everything from copyright, to designing a toy prototype, to marketing toys. WIT is awesome in many ways!
