In the self-publishing world, those who write for adults focus on ebooks. They’ve always built audiences for ebooks because they are easier to deliver, leaving profit margins larger. But those who write for children have focused on print books. It’s not uncommon for an author to report 90% of their income is from paperback books and 10% is from ebooks.
But I think that’s going to change drastically in the next few years. Here’s why I think that.
