Remember “Frederick”?

This month, July 2024, I’m being Frederick, storing up memories that I hope will come out later in something different and new. It’s important to fill the well with experiences, with life. Halfway in, I already feel the stirrings of imagination, the beginnings of ideas.

We are circum-navigating Colorado, starting in the north at Estes Park, going west to Black Canyon of the Gunnison, on to Mesa Verde, then across the south to the Great Sand Dunes, and back to central Colorado for more hiking, and then back home.

It’s a month of not-writing (in general), a month of storing up memories and being Frederick in spirit. We all need times to be away, to just live, breathe in the cool air, smell the sagebrush and lemon mint (at a Botanical Garden!), and laugh and live. That’s what’s happening this month.

When I”m back in August, I have several important posts planned about writing in series, getting started with your own company, and marketing. Stay tuned. Meanwhile - find a reason to laugh today! It’s probably the best thing you can do for your writing!
