Summer Season: Promoting Children's Books in Summer

Today, I want to give you a heads up on my forthcoming Kickstarter project! I’ve been writing this blog for several years and have finally gathered the information, added tons more, and created a 320-page book, PUBLISH: Find Surprising Success Self-Publishing Your Children’s Book. Coming on September 15, 2025, I’ll launch a Kickstarter for the project. The book will launch on all other platforms on January 6, 2026.

IF you are a paid subscriber to this blog, you’ll automatically receive a digital copy of the book in November. Thanks so much for your support over the past few years as I’ve worked on this. You matter! And your voice matters! I hope the book will help you find your own success.

IF you want a paperback copy, or the other accompanying how-to-write books, you’ll need to visit the Kickstarter.

Summer Promotions

I find that there are rhythms to the publishing game, or seasons when certain things happen or don’t happen.

For me, Summer is submitting to award committees, speaking and getting ready for fall. Let’s look at what’s happening this summer for my books. What promotions work for children’s books during the summer months? It’s a time to reach out to the education world—here’s how.

Indie Kids Books is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
