In September, I’ll be co-teaching an in-person retreat for Boyds Mills (formerly Highlights Foundation), and we’ve had a few Unexpected Cancellations. Can you join me instead?
Picture Book Authors and Illustrators: A Generative Retreat, on September 16-19 is a dynamic, fun, amazing workshop. Leslie Helakoski and I will be teaching a session every morning, followed by a round-table critique. Matthew Phipps, editor from Penguin, will hold a ten-minute consult with each person! And, he’ll be responding to the First Pages session.
You’ll have time to write, get feedback, meet industry professionals (and me!), and laugh and cry and feel every inch a writer or illustrator. All of this while staying in a charming, comfortable (if rustic) cabin or a comfortable lodge room. And the food? Amazing! They know how to take care of us!
The cost may seem a lot, but it includes that fabulous room and board, plus all the teaching, feedback, and laughter.
