What Are Kids Reading Today?

Do you wonder what kids are reading TODAY? (Not 5 years ago, but today?)

Renaissance Learning, who administers the Accelerated Reader program, publishes an annual list of popular books.

Two caveats:

1) This is snapshot of kids who take AR tests as part of their curriculum. The results are based on what tests are taken. In other words, it's biased toward schools who use the AR program. So, it won't necessarily translate to what is sold on Amazon. Or what would be popular on Apple. But it's an interesting look at what is currently popular with kids from K-8 both in print and digital formats. 

2) While it's a free download, you must give them your email and they encourage that you sign up for an email series. Shrug. i always unsubscribe immediately, but feel free to stick around if you like.
