Hi, Darcy,

Some great tips—even though a number of them are beyond my pay grade right now.

You might be interested in this resource to offer resource-starved authors who want to learn book design: https://inklingcreative.ink/affinity/#join

I haven’t taken her course using Affinity Publisher, but her free download for signing up to the email list looks excellent. I used Affinity Designer to make my most recent cover and am working my way into Affinity Publisher. Middle grade is a bit easier because we don’t always have to have all the illustrations. (Of course, we want them anyway!) There was a great half-price deal on the Affinity packages in March. Right now, they cost 54.99 Euro which is about $65. Or maybe your $100 estimate was if you bought more than one module?

This was also a great blog post (and why I actually bought Publisher as well as Designer): https://www.bookdesignmadesimple.com/review-affinity-publisher/

Thanks for doing this series! It’s thought-provoking and gives me a glimpse into the future.
